Through participated in #WalnutTakeNewYork competition, I found Pink Olive – a store in New York City carry toys, soft toys, children books and lots of cards. Pink Olive has three locations. I decided to visit the East Village store.
As you can see from the window decoration, this is a very inviting shop. The front door and store frame are painted in dark blue.
First thing I saw on the right when I walked was my little friend – Henry The Fox. Next to him is Chester the Raccoon. Both softies sitting on a cute small bench. Further into the shop, I spotted Margaux the Kitty. This little kitty is wearing a red, flowery dress. On top of that, she is also wearing a knitted hat. How cute?!
Couldn't wait to explore more of the shop. I jumped right into back of the shop. There I saw many softies for age range from 0-99. Walnut Animal Society, Jellycat and Maileg are just a few brands of soft toys they carry.
Having fun browsing softies, I also looked at some of the paintings. Can you guess which softy will be next in line for review?
Graffiti art is a big thing throughout NYC. Here is one nearby Pink Olive. Will cassette tape be in fashion again?
