December 20 | Timeless Heirloom Ornaments

Darkness must pass
A new day will come
And when the sun shines
It will shine out the clearer
— J.R.R. Tolkien

Awhile back, I wrote two well-known handmade doll makers, one of them is Alice Mary Lynch. This holiday, Alice has partnered with Anthropologie to design four tree ornaments. It's such a popular items, they sold out really fast at the store. Luckily, I didn't have to think about it too long and super excited to get my hand on one of them - The cat. I purchased when it was 20% discount.

The ornament is about 8 inch tall. They are handmade in China. The craftsmanship of the toys were inconsistent, some were well made and some were not. I looked through a bunch to find myself the perfect one. They shine and shimmer, glitter and glimmer as all of Alice handmade soft toys - just perfect for the holidays.

Although, one thing would be great is adding some jingle bells to the soft toy. It is currently wearing four bells, but it doesn't make jingle.

While looking through for the perfect cat, two women also looking for their and chatting away. Here is their conversation, "Let's get her one. By the time, she reached our age, she'll have a Christmas tree of all the ornaments". Isn't that delightful? Do you have a Christmas tradition?

It's raining cats and dogs out there! On top of that, baby, it's cold outside. What a better way to stay home, snuggle in a warm blanket and watch Lord of the Rings Trilogy. How do you spend your Sunday afternoon?
