WOW! WOW! A five-star WOW! Today, I share with you a handmade cloth doll from Willowynn. Her doll is exquisite, graceful and elegant.
First, I will share you with my open box experience, next I will show you the spec, then answer what is it that I like and don't like about this doll.
The doll arrived from Australia. It took about 3 weeks from Australia to San Francisco. As with any handmade soft toy shipping from foreign country will require extra time for delivery.
The package arrived in a cushion mailer. Cut open the package, inside is a bubble wrapped box. Unwrapped the bubble wrapper is a string tied in a bow with a business card over a cardboard gift box. Inside the box is a special thank you note card. How special!! Next layer is a tissue paper wrapped around the cloth doll. I now hold in my hands a Willowynn doll.
This doll is about 9 inches tall. Cost about $160 USD. She is well-made with top notched craftsmanship. Her eyes, and lip are embroidered. She is wearing a silk and chiffon skirt and a beautiful sparkles jewelry around her waist. I must say her hair super fine, soft and tied in an elegant low bun. At direct sunlight, her hair is shinny and golden. As you will see in one of the photos I have here. Underneath her skirt is an embroidered initial, which I will not show. You must get the doll to see it.
She is not a doll for young children under 3 years old. It is a doll must handle with care if play.
Here I took her around town - Painted Ladies and Palace of Fine Arts She is photogenic, no doubt – with different angle and different expressions. Her facial expression may be a bit sad, but content with life.
So what is it that I like about this doll? All the above positives. She is not your average doll. So, I don't see why not. What I wish this doll would be a couple inches larger. As she is such a beauty, I don't mind to display her at home at all.
